We’re excited to welcome Gabby, our account team intern, to…
Since we’re a relatively new team, you may know some of us but not others. Over the next few months, we’ll introduce you to each member of the Propel team. Today we’re introducing Content Intern Rachel Lipman.
Propel: We do a lot of eating around here, if you haven’t noticed. So this first question shouldn’t surprise you: What’s your favorite food?
RL: My favorite food is sushi. Any type of sushi. I spend so much money on sushi that the waiters at my favorite sushi restaurant know me (and my order).
P: Sushi is amazing, and that answer is amazing. Have a favorite TV show?
RL: I’d have to say Grey’s Anatomy. I love shows with drama and Grey’s definitely has plenty. I also like how they’ve recently been tackling real world problems (e.g. race, sexual assault, etc.) and how they’re using their platform to get people talking about issues that need to be talked about.
P: If only more shows were like Grey’s Anatomy. So where do you go to school?
RL: I go to UNC-Chapel Hill. I love it because Chapel Hill is just a magical place that I can’t really describe. But what I love most about UNC is the students who really make the school the great place it is.
P: Have you picked your major yet?
RL: I have! I’m a business journalism major. I’m extremely indecisive so naturally I came into college undecided. But I’ve always liked writing, and I was interested in UNC’s amazing journalism school. We’re one of the few schools with a business journalism major, and when I learned about it, I thought it would be the perfect fit for me!
P: You’ll definitely have the chance to apply some of the skills you’ve learned at school here, that’s for sure. What are you looking forward to about interning with us?
RL: I am most excited to #adult for a while and get a taste of what real people do every day! (Oh, and learn some things too.)
P: We’ll try our best to teach you some things between taco breaks. Time for the last question. At Propel, we like to think of ourselves as a superpower for our clients. If you could have a super power, what would it be?
RL: If I could have any superpower it would be being able to teleport. I love to travel but am not the biggest fan of flying and airports and waiting, so teleporting would be perfect.
